New Destination Debut on Star Tours: The Adventures Continue
The upcoming seventh feature film in the Star Wars Franchise, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, is set to open Dec. 2015. The long-awaited film will inspire an all new destination in Hollywood Studios’ Star Tours: The Adventures Continue. During the opening months of the film, all guests will be able to experience the new adventure, but afterwards, it will randomize and once again be left up to the Force to determine your ride experience!
Na’Vi River Journey Attraction Announced to open in Pandora – the World of AVATAR
The latest attraction to be announced for the upcoming Pandora experience in DAK is the family friendly Na’Vi River Journey boat ride. Guests will set out in canoes and venture through the lush rainforests and explore the lands of Pandora. The highpoint of the attraction comes upon a Na’vi shaman with a deep connection to the life force and music of Pandora. The Na’vi River Journey is slated to open in 2017.
Filming of the 2015 Disney Parks Unforgettable Christmas Celebration
This year’s Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade now called Disney Parks Unforgettable Christmas Celebration will be filming on both coasts in November and December.
- Taping of the Magic Kingdom Parade will take place Nov. 10-13, 2015
- Taping of the Disneyland Parade will take place Dec. 11-13, 2015.
Guests will be able to attend the taping with no park ticket needed. Typically the Disneyland taping is in November, and MK in December, but this year it is switched due to the Avengers Super Heroes Half Marathon Weekend at Disneyland from November 12-15. The Frozen theme from last year is no more, and this year’s theme remains a mystery.
Disneyland Resort Holiday Magic Decades Merchandise First Look
Debuting Nov. 12, the art collection will celebrate 60 years’ worth of Disney Holiday magic. An array of merchandise will be available including mugs, dish towels, an adult fleece, print, ornament, pin, and serving platter. The designs feature iconic Disneyland attractions and characters with a fun holiday twist. Look for the merchandise in Disney Showcase, World of Disney and Elias and Co.
NEW Minnie’s Holiday Dine at Hollywood and Vine
Eat, Drink, and Be Merry from now until January 3, 2016 at Minnie’s Holiday Dine at Hollywood and Vine in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Guests will get a holiday meal to celebrate the season while dining with Minnie and her friends! Meet Santa Goofy along with more of the Fab Five as they circulate the dining room for meet and greets. Among the rest of the buffet, enjoy seasonal food fit for a holiday meal including cranberry butter and dinner rolls, pretzel bread, toasted butternut squash soup, green bean casserole, corn bread stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, cherry port ham and honey bourbon turkey. Be sure to get your eggnog cheesecake on the way out!
