Christmas Celebrations Around Walt Disney World
32nd Annual Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade
The Disney Parks Unforgettable Christmas Celebration will be hosted by Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts and airs Dec. 25 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. ET. The special will show the Christmas parade, filmed on both coasts and feature celebrity performers and guests including: Jason DeRulo, Arianna Grande, Reba McIntyre, Seal, Andy Grammar, Charlie Puth, Tori Kelly, Charles Perry, and the cast of the Disney Channel hit movie “The Descendants.” Don’t miss it this Christmas on ABC at 10:00 ET.
Disney Springs Celebrates its First Holiday Season
Disney Springs has gotten its fair share of holiday sparkle and shine with its Christmassy decor and holiday entertainment. Don’t miss the Holiday Carolers in the Marketplace every night from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Catch the Kwanzaa musical group on Dec. 26 and 27 as well as the story of Hanukkah told through music and narrative Dec. 6-13.
Holiday stilt-walkers give Disney Springs a unique Christmas splash, and be sure to visit Santa Clause at the Chalet in the Marketplace.
The Comedy Warehouse Holiday Special Returns to Hollywood Studios
The family-friendly improv comedy show returns to the Premiere Theater for its fifth year of holiday fun. Comedic performers invent off-the-cuff festive poems, scenes, and songs with suggestions from the audience, a la “Who’s Line Is It Anyway.” Every show is different and is sure to bring yuletide joy to guests of any age. “The Comedy Warehouse Holiday Special” runs daily from Dec. 19, 2015 through Jan. 1, 2016. The show is included in park admission.
New Year’s Eve Countdown at Walt Disney World
Countdown to 2016 with entertainment, dining, and extended hours at the Walt Disney World Resort.
Epcot – Celebrate all night long at Epcot’s World Showcase with DJs and live music and enjoy two showings of “IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth” at 6:00 p.m. and 11:40 p.m. The 11:40 show is not to be missed and is followed by a countdown and firework salute to the New Year!
Magic Kingdom – The Magic Kingdom will offer an amazing presentation of the “Fantasy in the Sky” fireworks on both Wednesday, Dec. 30, and Thursday, Dec. 31 at 11:50 p.m. Enjoy a New Year’s Eve dessert party on Tomorrowland Terrace while watching the fireworks display and count down to 2016!
Disney’s Hollywood Studios – An incredible New Year’s fireworks spectacular will be presented on Dec. 31 near the Hyperion Theater at midnight.
Disney Springs – Enjoy the holiday décor and delicious New Year’s dining options at the reimagined Disney Springs. New Year’s Eve parties and specialty dining options can be found at Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant, Bongos Cuban Café, Fulton’s Crab House,Wolfgang Pucks Upstairs Dining Room , and the Portobello Country Italian Trattoria.
Resorts – The resorts are celebrating the New Year, too with incredible dining and entertainment.
Contemporary: California Grill and Chef Mickey’s are ringing in the New Year with a champagne dinner and New Year’s brunch, respectively.
Grand Floridian: Victoria and Albert’s and Narcoosee’s are providing once in a lifetime New Year’s eve dining experiences.
Boardwalk Inn: Celebrate New Year’s Eve in style at the Atlantic Dance Hall’s special ticket event complete with DJ, champagne toast and all0night party.
Disney’s Swan: Garden Grove, and Il Mulino are offering limited time New Year’s Eve menus.

River of Lights at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Expected to open spring 2016, “Rivers of Light” will be an innovative experience unlike anything ever seen in a Disney park, combining live performances, floating lanterns, water screens and swirling animal imagery. “Rivers of Light” will come to life as a pair of mystical hosts comes to Discovery River bearing gifts of light. During the show, the hosts set out from the shore on elaborate lantern vessels for a dance of water and light to summon the animal spirits. (Disney Parks
New Stars Wars Inspired Entertainment at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
In anticipation of the new movie set to come out next week, Disney’s Hollywood Studios has gotten a bit of an inter galactic makeover. Look for the Star Wars Launch Bay, a central locale for fans to celebrate all things Star Wars. The Launch Bay acts as the center to the entirety of the Star Wars experience and will include the Cantina (complete with Bantha milk), themed galleries, the Launch Bay Theater where guests can view behind the scenes action and interviews with the cast and crew of the films, a Star Wars game center, and the Launch Bay Cargo with limited edition and specialty Star Wars merchandise.
Also look for Star Wars: Path of the Jedi, an epic overview of the entire Star Wars cannon. It’s basically a super long trailer, but Stars Wars fans won’t want to miss it. There are also cool new enhancements for Star Tours – The Adventures Continue and Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple.
