Kungaloosh! Who loves Jungle Cruise? Who loves adventure? Who loves food? Answer – EVERYONE.
This week at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, CA, the Walt Disney Company confirmed the opening of a new Jungle Cruise themed restaurant in the Magic Kingdom.
The Jungle Cruise Co., Ltd. Skipper Canteen Restaurant is slated to open late 2015 and will be staffed with Jungle Cruise Skippers. So be sure to expect plenty of puns and eye rolls, and DEFINITELY be sure to expect “World Famous Jungle Cuisine.” Adventurer’s Club enthusiasts will be glad to see the Society of Explorers and Adventurers dining hall among multiple dining rooms in the Canteen.
The Jungle Cruise opened in 1971 as an original Walt Disney World attraction. Its quick-witted skippers and humorous vibe were Walt-inspired, and have added to the ride’s cult following. The Jungle Cruise has proved to be a guest favorite year after year, even obtaining legendary status as one of the classic park attractions.
